Area Forum Quadrant 35 Members Visit Gjøa Platform

Members of the Area Forum Quadrant 35 payed a visit to the Gjøa platform on 10 September.

The purpose of the forum is to look at the possibilities for a rational way to exploit all discoveries in the area, as requested by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate. The Gjøa visit marks the end of the forum’s first year.

Besides GDF SUEZ, the AFQ35 comprises Eni (Afrodite), RWE Dea (Titan), Wintershall (Skarfjell and Grosbeak) and Statoil (Astero, Aurora, Peon, Vega and Fram).

GDF SUEZ E&P Norge was elected chair for the first year whilst Statoil will take over the role as chair this autumn.

“We have achieved an open and constructive dialogue,” says Karel Schothorst, Project Manager – Gjøa Area Development, who has headed the forum through the first year.
