Construction of Nordsee Ost Offshore Wind Farm

RWE’s Nordsee Ost wind farm will be erected in 22 to 25 metre deep water, 35 kilometres northwest of the island of Heligoland and 40 kilometres west of Amrum, covering a total area of some 24 square kilometres.

First foundations at the wind farm site have already been installed by the offshore installation vessel Victoria Mathias. Once completed, Nordsee Ost will have a total capacity of 295 megawatts and will be able to supply the equivalent of approx. 310,000 households with electricity per year.
