DOF Subsea Wins Mooring Installation Services Contract from Statoil

DOF Subsea Norway has secured a contract with Statoil Petroleum AS for Mooring Installation Services utilising the vessel Skandi Skolten.

The scope of work is to change out mooring segments on the Njord B FSU and Norne FPSO installations in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea whilst these are in production.

The offshore operations part of the project will commence in Q3 2013 and will last for approximately 40 days.

The Skandi Skolten is a versatile multipurpose Construction Anchor Handling Vessel, ideally suited to deepwater mooring and field installation operations.

Built to meet future environmental standards, the vessel is fuel efficient and clean class, thus having the capability to work in most of the world’s offshore oil & gas precincts.
