DONG Energy Carries Out Exploration Drilling at Trym Field

DONG E&P Norge AS (DONG) has received consent to carry out exploration drilling of well 3/7-8S.

DONG is the operator of production licence 147, which includes the Trym field in block 3/7 in the southern part of the North Sea.

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has now granted consent for exploration drilling of well 3/7-8S in a prospect just south of Trym.

The well will have the following geographical coordinates:

56o 23’ 10.715″ N

04o 14’ 00.523″ E

Water depth at the site is approx. 65 metres.

The plan is to start drilling in mid-November, with a duration of 60 days.  The drilling activity will be carried out with the Mærsk Giant mobile drilling facility
