Apply Nemo’s Remote Tie-Ins for Ivar Aasen and Edward Grieg

Apply Nemo AS (AN), the subsea unit in Apply, has been awarded a contract with Det norske oljeselskapet ASA for the delivery of thirteen remote controlled tie-ins, up to 14”, for installation on the Edward Grieg and Ivar Aasen jackets.

The contract value is approximately 60 mNOK, and the equipment deliveries will commence in June 2013.

The AN work scope comprises engineering, procurement and fabrication of thirteen tie-ins with sizes ranging from 8’’ up to 14’’.

AN will utilize its brand new, latest generation, Thor Tie-In System as basis for the deliveries with Vector International as supplier of the connectors. The Thor system has been developed to meet the market demand for simplified, cost optimal and robust tie-ins. The system can be utilized on the full range of applications and sizes.

The equipment will be utilized to tie-in three pipelines between the coming Edward Grieg and Ivar Aasen Jacket Platforms.

Håkon Strømberg, the MD of AN stated: “This contract represent a key milestone for AN as a supplier of pipeline products and is a result of several years of development with this type of equipment.

Apply Nemo AS has its main office at Lysaker outside Oslo, branch office in Stavanger, its fabrication facility at Hokksund (ApplyNemoTech) and a subsidiary, Apply Nemo Offshore Pty, in Perth, Australia. The Nemo-group is expecting a turnover of 260 million NOK in 2012.

The Nemo-group is part of Apply which has 2000 employees and a turnover of 2,6 billion.
