Emergency Preparedness Audit on Safe Scandinavia

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of emergency preparedness on the mobile living quarters facility Safe Scandinavia during the period 18-20 June 2012.

The objective of the audit was to verify the facility’s emergency preparedness organisation, equipment and systems that maintain preparedness functions.

PSA announced that the nonconformities were identified in relation to: Plan for training response personnel; Expertise and robustness in the emergency preparedness organisation; MOB suits; Knowledge regarding risk and preparedness analyses and Rescue suits and life jackets.

Furthermore, improvement items were identified in relation to: Facilitating employee involvement; Following up improvement measures following training and exercises; Emergency lighting; Marking escape routes; Office facilities; Labelling pipes and Lighting under rescue and evacuation means.
