Lundin Petroleum Announces Start of Drilling at Salina Prospect

Lundin Petroleum AB announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Lundin Norway AS (Lundin Norway) has commenced the drilling of well 7220/10-1 in PL533 on the Salina prospect (formerly referred to as Pulk) in the Barents Sea.

The well is located 54 km to the south west and on geological trend with the Skrugard and Havis discoveries. The main objective of the well is to prove the presence of hydrocarbons in the reservoir.

Lundin Petroleum holds 20 percent interest in PL533. Partners are Eni Norge AS (operator) with 40 percent interest, Det norske oljeselskap ASA with 20 percent and RWE Dea Norge AS with 20 percent interest.
