EIVA Signs Contract with Subsea 7 for Use of NaviPac on Its Vessels

Danish EIVA announces has signed a contract with Subsea 7 for the use of their online survey and positioning software, NaviPac, on all relevant Subsea 7 vessels.

Subsea 7 is a global leader in seabed-to-surface engineering, construction and services contractor to the offshore energy industry worldwide. It has one of the world’s most versatile fleets of pipe-lay, heavy-lift, survey, construction, remote intervention and diving support vessels, operating in the most challenging environments in the world.

As a consequence of the recent merger, Subsea 7 went to the market with a competitive tender to reconcile their primary online software package to one supplier.

Following detailed evaluation of different solutions on capability, support and price, the decision was taken to purchase EIVA’s NaviPac, NaviScan and NaviEdit software. This has initiated a replacement programme for those Subsea 7 vessels, requiring a full survey and positioning sotware package, not already equipped with EIVA’s software.

Dave Roberts, the Life-of-Field Business Improvements Manager at Subsea 7, comments, “Standardisation on a single solution is of strategic importance to us, and after thorough evaluation, we have selected EIVA’s suite of online products as the best fit for us. By mid-2013 all relevant Subsea 7 vessels will be equipped with EIVA’s software as the data acquisition software throughout Subsea 7.

As part of the contract, EIVA will extend the capabilities of the product suite to match specific needs identified by Subsea 7.

EIVA is extremely proud to have been selected by Subsea 7. The fact that such a significant company as Subsea 7 has decided on EIVA’s NaviPac software, emphasises that the product is among the very best available in the market,” says Jeppe Nielsen, EIVA CEO.
