State Officials Marks Opportunities of Future East Anglia Array Wind Farm

State officials are urging the government to help businesses along the East coast take advantage of renewable energy boom.

Suffolk MP has invited the government to boost local businesses in that area. Waveney MP stated in the parliament that East Anglia Array Wind Farm offers great opportunity for development.

Vattenfall and ScottishPower Renewables have been awarded the rights to develop a major offshore wind farm off the east coast of England in the North Sea. The East Anglia Array may be the world’s largest offshore wind farm. Early investigations suggest that the East Anglia Array has the potential to achieve a capacity of approximately 7.200MW.

The works should start by 2015. Once it is finished, the wind farm should provide power for more than a five million homes and create 48 000 jobs in that area.

UK Energy minister Charles Hendry visited East Anglia and he found that plans for the East Anglia offshore wind farm are very impressive, so every British company should take the opportunity to pitch their business, reports BBC.
