Storm Berit Damages Sway’s Test Model in Norway

The down-scaled 1:6 test model met full scale extreme weather and probably sank during last night’s extreme storm “Berit”.

Once the turbine has been located and recovered the time to repair it will be assessed. Even though the effect of the extreme storm “Berit” would not be a problem for a full scale turbine this incident will certainly give the developers important and valuable experience.
