Wood Group PSN Bringing 150 New Jobs

Wood Group PSN, an energy services company, is to bring an engineering jobs boost to Cheshire. The company, headquartered in Aberdeen, plans to increase staff numbers following a string of North Sea contract wins.

Wood Group PSN is set to create upwards of 150 jobs, doubling the size of its existing engineering base in Runcorn.

Robin Watson, UK managing director for Wood Group PSN said:

“We have an engineering base in Runcorn that provides jobs for over 150 engineers and personnel. We are looking to double the size of our operation in North of England to support continued UK growth. We were recently awarded a major North Sea contract by TAQA to provide operations, maintenance, engineering and construction to its North Sea assets and we have other work under contract and in the pipeline that requires UK wide support.

“We are keen to tap into the strong skills base in Cheshire and grow our operations in the region to manage current work and position Wood Group PSN for bidding future work.”

Wood Group PSN is looking for qualified and experienced engineers and designers across all of its disciplines and will be hosting a recruitment roadshow from 8.00am to 8.00pm on September 16, 2011 at the Daresbury Park Hotel in Warrington.
