Breagh A and the Clipper South project chooses Hydrasun Instrumentation

Heerema Vlissingen has been awarded the EPC contract of a minimum facilities platform for the Breagh A Development. Following an award of an EPC contract in April earlier this year for a minimum facilities platform for the Clipper South Development.

The E&I contractors for the Breagh A and the Clipper South project choose Hydrasun Instrumentation B.V. for the supply of all Parker Instrumentation fittings and valves and Sandvik Tubing.

Hydrasun has built up a good relationship with both contractors in the last couple of years. Hydrasun was selected particularly for its knowledge on Parker instrumentation products as an official Parker Instrumentation distributor and the ability to supply goods fast.

Hydrasun Instrumentation B.V. will supply all Parker Instrumentation fittings and valves in 6MO and Sandvik tubing in 254 SMO for both projects. The products will be used to measure, monitor and record all process-, Hydraulic-, pneumatic- and safety applications.

 

Breagh A

The Breagh field is one of the largest undeveloped natural gas discoveries in the UK sector North Sea. The gas field operator is RWE Dea.

In 2010, an appraisal well, 42/13a-6, found gas and is currently being completed as a producer. The well was drilled to a measured depth of 8,624 ft/ 2,63 m and open hole logs indicate 62 ft/ 19m of net gas bearing sands.

 

Clipper South

The Clipper South gas field operator is RWE Dea and holds a 50% interest; Bayerngas holds 25%; and Fairfield Acer Limited holds the remaining 25%.

The Clipper South discovery was made in March 1983. The field’s reservoir is situated in the lower Permian sandstones belonging to the Rotliegend Group.
