Huayi to spend $7 million on 6MW offshore wind turbine

CHINA: Chinese wind manufacturer Huayi Electric has announced plans to shift around 25 percent of the CNY190 million ($29.3 million) it raised from non-publicly issued stocks, to develop a 6MW turbine.

Huayi said the CNY45 million was previously planned for developing 5MW turbines. On May 10, Huayi signed an agreement with Netherlands’ MECAL B.V to jointly develop 6MW offshore wind turbines.
