Sheep ship docks in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait (Reuters) — A ship carrying more than 50,000 Australian sheep has docked in Kuwait but the animals’ fate was unclear after a plan for the British army to distribute them in neighbouring Iraq apparently foundered.

The Cormo Express had been stranded at sea and thousands of sheep died after Saudi Arabia rejected the vessel more than a month ago on health grounds. The controversial voyage drew protests from animal rights groups.
